It's Sunday! For me, that's the day of the week that I go through my books, and decide the fate of each one. The following books are ones that no matter how hard I tried, no matter how much I wanted to, just could not be considered worth reading the ending. So here it is, my list of shame. The books not worth it.
Trust- Jodi Baker

I wanted to like this book, I really really wanted to. I also really wanted and tried to finish this book but eventually admitted defeat. The storyline, while interesting, just did not flow. The writing was so forced, it was almost painful to read. Personally, if the writing style had been different and more entertaining, this book would have been so much better. I regret I cannot give this book a better review, but the author just killed it for me.
Unborn- Amber Lynn Natusch

I gave up on finishing this book at 74%. t's just so stiff and formal and then crude all in the same sentence. It has very little character depth and the author gives us no reason to be invested in the characters let alone the actual story. Definitely disappointing.
Fury Of Obsession- Coreene Callahan

What I wanted was an epic story.... what I got was okay. While there was a a fresh spin on dragon fantasy, it lacked intriguing characters and held a mediocre love story. I might be tempted to actually finish the book if I ever forgot I read it in the first place. I remember throwing my kindle aside and shaking my head at around 80%.
Of Shadow & Stone- Michelle Muto

Would you like to know what this book is about? Read the synopsis....... and then stop. I wasted much more time on this book and its awful. I will never get that time back, ever.
Ugly Young Thing- Jennifer Haynes

I am so heartbroken. This book had such an intriguing start and plot.... and oh my gosh, it just was ruined. I seriously cannot remember the main characters name. I don't know if it's because of the grief blanketing my brain over the demise of what could have been a great book or because of the red haze of anger at the author for taking something so promising and tearing it to bits with predictability, flat characterization and just plain bad writing. Ugh.
And there you have it folks. My list of shameful books. Fear not, for there are many more books still yet to come and we shall pray they never make it onto my Sunday Confessions.
