My Review:
5 Stars
This book was.phenomenal. It is the second book in this trilogy and I found it to be even better than the first, which is saying something, because the first book was also amazing.
Jaron's character just blows me away. His sarcasm and quick wit have me totally won over. I love reading his story and was even more thrilled when he went back to being Sage for a little bit. Let's face it, Sage kicks butt. This is honestly one of the first series in this genre that I have read where the main character is male, and I've gotta say, I've been missing out! This story absolutely would not work with a female lead and the author portrays the struggle of a young man trying to find himself worthy to be king perfectly.
The plot is packed full of suspenseful adventure, betrayal, and surprising twists all throughout this book. The author sure knows how to keep you reeled in with her masterful writing. I'm so glad I already have the next book so I can continue on in Jaron's world right away.
